I went for a walk with the dogs in Highfields Park this afternoon. As I was heading back to the car, I caught sight of this view and grabbed a photo.

A Series Of Curves

A backup photo again today - I had a very busy day running sound for In Disguise (the band I've got involved with recently), so I ended up not having time or energy to attend to photos (beyond a couple of snapshots, which I've included after the jump).

The new mixer worked excellently, and the band were very well received.

I went out for a drive, thinking I might get a walk in.
I ultimately decided against walking in the rain, so I ended up parked for a while, listening to music, watching the rain on the windows, and contemplating life in general.

Snatched Fire

I wasn't sure whether this would be worth posting, because it was really just a quick snap I grabbed as I jumped into the car this morning.
I was actually quite pleased with the result when I looked at it later, so it's today's offering.

Also:
1) Ding Dong, The Witch Is Dead! We finally completed the last stage of the mammoth testing job I've been stuck on for weeks today, and the customers were even happy, so that's a very good result.
Hopefully, now that the test procedure is nailed down and debugged, I can hand the bulk of the work over to someone else in future.
2) A prototype of a device I designed a while ago arrived, and looks like it will work nicely, so I'm quite excited about that.
3) HOLIDAY! No more work for a week.

I'm enjoying my first week off work this year (Very, very overdue, I know), and I'm still pleasantly surprised at how well this little PowerShot S95 holds up after all these years.
A proper little pocket powerhouse.

Fallen Glow

Inspired by a recent post by @_snappiness_, I retrieved my old PowerShot S95 from a family member who was no longer using it.
A good clean, a quick trip to Amazon for a new battery, and it's back in action again.
I always really loved this little camera, and I'm enjoying getting reacquainted with it again.
I think it still holds its own, even today, 14 years after it was released.
